What was the reason due to which Najmuddin Ayyubi refused to get married? in Eng

First of all, we warmly welcome you to our website, Real History ❤.

Today, we’ll share the astonishing reason why Salahuddin Ayyubi’s father, Najm al-Din Ayyub, initially refused to marry!

An Astonishing Incident About Salahuddin Ayyubi’s Father

Governor Najm al-Din Ayyub refused to marry for a long time, even into his later years.
One day, his brother, Asad al-Din Shirkuh, asked him,
“Brother! Why don’t you get married?”
Najm al-Din replied,
“I don’t consider anyone suitable for me.”
Hearing this, Asad al-Din asked,
“Shall I find a proposal for you?”
“Whose proposal?” Najm al-Din asked.
“The daughter of Malik Shah bin Sultan Muhammad bin Malik Shah Seljuqi or the daughter of Wazir al-Mulk?”

Upon hearing this, Najm al-Din replied,
“They are not suitable for me.”
Asad al-Din was stunned.
“Then who will be suitable for you?” he asked.

Najm al-Din answered,
“I want a pious wife who will hold my hand and lead me to Paradise. From her, I want a son who will be raised with the best upbringing, who will become a great warrior, and who will liberate the Muslims’ first Qibla.”

Asad al-Din didn’t like Najm al-Din’s response and said,
“Where will you find such a woman?”
Najm al-Din replied,
“If my intention is sincere, Allah will provide her for me.”

Asad al-Din remained silent, pondering over Najm al-Din’s words.

One day, Najm al-Din was sitting in a mosque with a Sheikh from Tikrit. A woman came and, standing behind a veil, addressed the Sheikh.
The Sheikh excused himself from Najm al-Din and began speaking to the woman.
Najm al-Din overheard their conversation.

The Sheikh asked the woman,
“Why did you reject the proposal of the young man I sent for you?”
She replied,
“Oh Sheikh and Mufti, the young man was indeed handsome and of high status, but he was not suitable for me.”
Surprised, the Sheikh asked,
“What do you mean? What are you looking for?”

The woman replied,
“Sheikh, I want a husband who will hold my hand and lead me to Paradise. From him, I pray Allah grants me a son who will become a great warrior and liberate the Muslims’ first Qibla.”

Najm al-Din was astonished because her thoughts aligned perfectly with his own.

Having rejected proposals from the daughters of rulers and ministers, Najm al-Din now turned to the Sheikh and said,
“Marry me to this woman.”
The Sheikh replied,
“She is from the poorest family in the neighborhood.”
Najm al-Din responded,
“That is exactly what I want.”

Najm al-Din married the pious and virtuous woman, and from this union, a great warrior was born—Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi (may Allah have mercy on him), who liberated the Muslims’ first Qibla, Al-Aqsa Mosque (Jerusalem).
